Hoses Made to Pattern While You Wait

A failed hydraulic hose can stop production, loading, transport or site work immediately. When the hose can be safely removed, bringing it to a Hydraquip trade counter is often the quickest way to get equipment working again.

This is particularly useful for older, modified or non-standard equipment where the fitted hose may no longer match the original manufacturer’s specification.

Working From the Original Hose
The failed hose itself is often the best reference for producing an accurate replacement.

Our experienced trade counter teams can identify the hose size, fitting type, thread, pressure rating and sealing method directly from the original assembly. Common BSP, JIC and metric fittings can be identified without relying on a part number or machine serial number.

The original hose may also show why it failed. Abrasion, excessive movement, heat damage, twisting or wear near the fittings can indicate problems with routing, clamping or the application.

Support for Older and Non-Standard Equipment
Older and imported machinery can include adapted fittings, unusual thread types or hose routings that are difficult to identify from a catalogue.

Our teams can measure threads, cross-reference fittings and manufacture replacement hose assemblies to pattern, even where the original part reference is unavailable. Bringing the hose into the branch also allows the application to be discussed before the replacement is made, reducing the risk of incorrect fittings, orientation or specification.

Reducing Operational Downtime
A hose failure can affect equipment availability, labour, delivery schedules and wider site operations.

Having a replacement manufactured over the counter removes the delays associated with identifying and ordering an unknown assembly remotely. Where possible, bring the complete failed hose along with photographs of its position on the machine. This helps confirm fitting orientation, routing and clearance.

Trade Counter and Mobile Support
If the hose can be removed safely, our trade counters can manufacture a replacement while you wait.

For large plant, fixed machinery or equipment that cannot be moved, our 24/7 mobile engineers can attend on site, identify the fault and manufacture the replacement hose from a fully equipped mobile workshop.

Hydraquip provides both options, giving customers access to the right level of support for each breakdown.
