Hydraquip are please to continue their association with current Production Touring Car Champion Gary Duckman who for the 2013 has become the latest driver to take advantage of Ginetta’s 2013 racing package deals, after signing up to a season in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge.
The EJM Preparation driver has over 10 years of racing under his belt, having won the La Rose Porsche Kart series in 2002 and Porsche 924 Championship in 2006 as well as finishing third overall in the Production Touring Car Trophy in 2011, before taking the title in 2012 after winning four races and a achieving a further 12 podiums.
Speaking on his latest challenge, Duckman said; “Following 15 years of karting and nine years of saloon car racing, I now have two club championships under my belt and think it’s time to move on to bigger things. I am running this season with EJM Preparation, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with them from previous Ginetta seasons, along with BTCC and WTCC expertise, so I think we are well placed to be challenging for wins in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge.”
Having enjoyed a one-off race in the Ginetta G50 Cup at Brands Hatch GP in 2011, the BTCC-supporting series is where Duckman is aiming for in the long-term, and the Ginetta GT5 Challenge provides the ideal starting place to continue building his career.
Duckman added; “The Ginetta GT5 Challenge is a great feeder series for the Ginetta GT Supercup, which is where I am aiming to be in the next couple of years. My sponsors are keen for me to deliver results and expressed interest in the Ginetta GT Supercup if we have a successful 2013 campaign, so we will be pushing hard to do well.”
The team at Hydraquip wish Gary all the best for the forthcoming season and look forward to seeing another title in his trophy cabinet at the end what is expected to be an exciting season.
