Hydraquip acquire stock & assets and 3 mobile workshops of MTL Hydraulics

HYDRAQUIP HAVE ACQUIRED THE STOCK & ASSETS AND 3 MOBILE WORKSHOPS OF MTL HYDRAULICS 

  • The 24/7 hydraulic hose repair company MTL Hydraulics ceased trading on the 10th June 2015
  • Two experienced engineers join Hydraquip from MTL Hydraulics
  • The acquisition adds value and strengthens the Hydraquip national network of 24/7 onsite hose repair

Mtl Hydraulics hydraulic repair hydraquipaHydraquip have acquired the stock & assets and 3 mobile workshops of MTL Hydraulics (UK) Ltd who ceased trading on 10/6/15. This deal secures the employment of  two very experienced  engineers. Andy Charlesworth & Paul Cummings. MTL Hydraulics (UK) Ltd provided 24/7 On site hydraulic hose repair in Northumberland & Tyne and Wear.

With the skilled staff from MTL Joining Hydraquip plus all the stock, vehicles and machinery in place Hydraquip are committed to providing  a seamless transition and continuity of service to MTL’s former  customers.

Andy, 50 served his apprenticeship as plant fitter for the National Coal Board and worked for many years in European Recovery . Paul, 44 has a background in vehicle mechanics. He first joined the hose repair industry at BMI Hose Newcastle Ltd.

BMI Hose Newcastle Ltd was one of the first franchises sold as part of the BMI Hose UK network to local businessman Glyn Griffiths. Also subsequently following closure of Hiflex Fluidpower in 2008 the assets were acquired by BMI Hose. The business at Hiflex Cramlington was integrated into the BMI Network.

When BMI Hose eventually stopped trading in 2013.  Glyn worked with Irish Intertraco distributor Milore Trading to establish MTL Hydraulics (UK) Ltd ensuring fast response and a quality product when customers  suffered a hose failure on-site.

Hydraquip recognise speed and decisive action are required in these situations and from learning of the situation on Thursday 11th June, Local Hydraquip Director Fintan Ennis was able to negotiate a confirmed deal and offers of employment on the table by the following day with completion and payment of the assets during Monday the 15th of June.
