Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics are delighted to a announce the second acquisition of 2022, A1 Hydraulics based in Leicester, East Midlands. Established in in 1976, A1 Hydraulics a family run business is well known for their reputable first-class customer service and for providing engineering solutions.
Also this acquisition will further Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics national presence as the company continues to build its network to become the largest onsite hose replacement provider in the UK. Furthermore, A1 Hydraulics will trade as the Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics Leicester branch which is strategically located just off the A536 Leicester ring road which connects with principle routes including the A6, A46, A50 and M1 providing access across the midlands network.
Hydraquip’s Regional Director Jeff Coulson added “We are delighted to welcome the A1 team into our business. A1 is a family run business and that feeling extends through the team and is one of many synergies we felt when meeting with Peter and Reinhard, the common theme is about putting the customer first and ensuring we all do right by them”. Both Peter and Reinhard Gillen, along with their current team will operate the Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics Leicester branch. With key emphasis on offering significant improvements to response times of their 24/7 National On Site Hose Service.
Reinhard Gillen former Director of A1 Hydraulics added “After over 45 years in the hydraulic business we were both approaching retirement. Our aim was always to pass over the reins of our well established business to a company which has a like-minded ethos, and which would take it forward onto the next level”. Hydraquip have a proven track record of growth via acquisitions and retaining the core values and staff of those businesses. Gillen continues “Ensuring job security for our staff and that our customer base would be well serviced into the future was crucial to our decision. Having worked with Hydraquip in the past, it became clear that this acquisition would be mutually beneficial and go on to ensure the continued success of the business”.
In addition to this, the Leicester trade counter will offer custom made hose assemblies whilst you wait along with a comprehensive range of over 60,000+ fluid power components including pneumatic components, industrial hose and fittings, hydraulic hose and fittings, quick release couplings, hose reels, tube, valves and pumps, with comprehensive stocks of hydraulic and engine oils, including oil dispensing equipment. Many of these items are available over the counter or can be delivered to you within 24 hours.
