The Olympus Range of robust refuse collections vehicle bodies consist of high tensile steel, one piece rolled side sheets, front and rear hoops as well as an under floor sump to prevent leechate seepage and to allow a clean discharge of liquid. The Olympus Range has been designed to include improved functions such as a refuse ejection plate, tailgate, larger electrical junction box and improved control stations. The Beta Range offers a higher lifting capacity of up to 500kg whilst being 30% lighter than most conventional split bin lifts, having a relatively short rear overhang and does not require an adaptor frame. The third of the many ranges manufactured by Dennis Eagle is the Elite 6 cab which boasts direct driver visibility and improved cyclist safety through its upgraded cab design and chassis specification whilst also complying with Euro 6 environmental standards. With a 6 cylinder, 7.7 litre engine the Elite cab has a greater torque at lower revs plus an improved suspension system fitted with either full air suspension or air assist. The new LoadSense technology allows for increased vehicle safety via its integrated axle overload protection system whilst a lower driving position and narrowed A and B posts aid the driver’s peripheral vision for driver and cyclist safety. The vehicle is available in a narrow build for rural roads and a wide build suitable for larger carriageways which can carry light and bulky materials such as plastic and cardboard.
